About me and how we will work together.

The desire to want to change often comes out of finding yourself stuck in the same place. This can feel difficult, confusing and even overwhelming, so finding the right therapist is essential.

Together, we will work on making sense of the mental blocks you’ve hit, to unlock new ways of thinking through the past in order to awaken the present.

I am a warm, empathic and direct therapist who can offer you a safe and confidential space to explore yourself or your relationship, deeply and at your own pace.

My Training

I have an MSc and CTA in psychotherapy from the Metanoia Institute and Middlesex University. So far I have worked with all sorts of people in short and long term therapy. My work is not just informed by training as a psychotherapist but from 22 years experience as an actress of the stage and screen. I trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and went on to work with many different artists from across the acting industry. This has given me a rich understanding of what it means to be an artist and a creative, I also paint when I can in my spare time. My lived experience of working in this world lends itself well to understanding anyone struggling to manage the difficulties and demands of an artistic existence. I can both support you in this journey and help you to discover new perspectives of yourself.

As well as my own private practice, I have worked for the NHS and Mind and alongside psychiatrists at St Bernard’s ward, West Ealing Hospital for men and women suffering from acute Mental Disorders. I’m presently completing a Diploma to become a TA supervisor to work with therapists.

I believe in the importance of my ongoing learning and personal growth. I am committed to the challenge and enjoyment of working with the complexities of the human psyche. I continue to invest in my own professional and personal development.

Type of therapy

Relational, Transactional Analysis

WHAT IS TRANSACTIONAL ANALYSIS?

Transactional Analysis was founded by Dr. Eric Berne – an innovative and creative thinker who brought together some of the most effective ideas in psychotherapy into a powerful body of theory and practice. It is best known and practiced as a theory and method of psychotherapy that is easily accessible to clients because of its visual tools. It is also employed in a wide variety of other contexts, most notably counselling, coaching and education, and some of its models are taught on professional trainings, such as social work, teaching and youth work.
